steht zu sich selbst, hier kann man ruhig mal aus der Bahn kippen, die Stimme kieksend zur Seite wegbrechen, das macht Reiz und bringt Sympathiepunkte. Nun, zum Glück werden die hier überaus fleissig eingesammelt. Genau die richtige Mischung aus Spielfreude und Langeweile in der Stimme, dazu ein Gespür für den richtigen Moment, einfach mal die Klappe zu halten und die Instrumente sprechen zu lassen. Dazu gebündelte Emotionen, die einen einfach umhauen.
Woher kommen nun diese Ideen? Woher die Inspiration? Und woher die Fähigkeit, das alles in fantastische Song zu sturkturieren und uns zu servieren?

Rosie als Member des unerschöpflichen & faszinierenden Queer-Universums sich selbst als „they/them“ bezeichnend, verbindet in ihren Songs eine wunderbare Naivität und positive Weltsicht und die Fähigkeit, ihren Ideen Töne und Worte zu verpassen, die mehr als fesseln und des Tatendrangs übervoll scheinen.
Textlich singt es von Städten, von Landschaften, Beziehungen, kruden Verhaltensweisen und Menschen, die man trotz des Unverständnisses für bestimmte Verhaltensweisen trotzdem schätzt und liebt (I love you, even now – Habit), Freunden mit psychischen Problemen, Alltäglichkeiten.
Und natürlich schwingt da irgendwo auch ein politisches Statement mit.
Dabei wirkt aber nichts belanglos sondern mit Liebe zum Detail beobachtet, interpretiert und in ihrer grandiosen Fähigkeit, dies alles in Songs zu verpacken, einzigartig, emotional und mitreißend.
Hat man erst einmal ein paar Sekunden hineingehört gerät man unweigerlich in einen Sog, einen betörenden Strudel des faszinierenden Songwritings, mit all seinen Facetten, Ungereimtheiten und liebsenswerten Eigenarten.
Gemeinsam mit ihrenseinen FreundInnen Anna Arboles, Wolfy und Jessica Reed hat sie ein schwer zu fassendes, stets unterstützendes Bollwerk um sich geschart, das einfach nur exzellent funktioniert.
Dazu die Machart ihrer Songs, man hat das Gefühl, alles sei in einer stetigen Bewegung, vieles einer drängenden Mitteilung gleich, etwas, das ganz dringend unters Volk getragen werden muss (Lauren, mit wunderbarem Schluß) und auf die Entdeckung wartet.
Musik, die zum Mitwippen genauso einlädt wie zum in Ruhe genießen, geeignet für den Ausflug mit Freunden und die melancholischen Abende mit Bier und Whiskey, allein vor der dahinflimmernden Soap.
Ein großes Album, faszinierende Songs und eine wunderbare Künstlerin.

stands by themself, here you can calmly flip out of your way, break away your voice by croaking to the side, that makes you attractive and brings sympathy points. Well, luckily they are collected here very carefully. Exactly the right mixture with joy of playing and lonelyness in the voice, in addition a feeling for the right moment, just to keep theyr mouth shut and let the instruments speak.
In addition bundled emotions, which simply blow you away.
Where do these ideas come from? Where does the inspiration come from? And where does the ability come from to structure all this into a fantastic song and serve it to us?

Rosie, as a member of the inexhaustible & fascinating queer universe, describes herself as „they/them“, combining in theyr songs a wonderful naivety and positive worldview and the ability to give theyr ideas sounds and words that seem more than captivating and overflowing with zest for action.
Lyrically they sing about cities, landscapes, relationships, crude behaviors and people you still appreciate and love despite not understanding certain behaviors (I love you, even now – Habit), friends with psychological problems, everyday life.
And of course a political statement resonates somewhere.
But nothing seems insignificant but observed and interpreted with love for detail and in her grandiose ability to wrap all this in songs, she is unique, emotional and rousing.
Once you have listened for a few seconds, you inevitably fall into a maelstrom, a beguiling whirlpool of fascinating songwriting, with all its facets, inconsistencies and lovely peculiarities.
Together with theyr friends Anna Arboles, Wolfy and Jessica Reed, they have gathered around theirself an elusive, always supportive bulwark that simply works excellently.
In addition to that, the style of theyr songs, you’ve got the feeling that everything is in a constant movement, much is like an urgent message, something that urgently needs to be carried among the people (Lauren, with a wonderful ending) and is waiting to be discovered.
Music that invites you to join in as well as enjoy in peace, suitable for a trip with friends and the melancholic evenings with beer and whiskey, alone sitting there ahead a flickering soap.
