Kraftvoll und zupackend, unnachgiebig und sich in den Vordergrund drängend, voll Power kommt im Eröffnungsstück Are You Sleepwalking
Mackenzie Scott mit druckvoller Energie aus den Startlöchern.

ist wieder da.

scheint mit ihren neuen Songs wandelbar, ein musikalisches Chamäleon, wirkt ungreifbar, frei – das hier in der Lage ist, eine Menge Spaß zu verbreiten.
Spürbar wird ihre Freude biem Spielen ihrer neuen Songs transportiert und beeeindruckt durch stimmliche äußerst vielfreudige Eskapaden und unerwartete Wendungen.
Dabei wird in voluminöse Eleganz nie die Nähe zu Ihren HörerInnen vernachlässigt, man fühlt sich in dieser emotionalen Achterbahnfahrt die ganze Zeit über voll dabei, integriert und sozusagen in der ersten Reihe stehend.

Ansonsten röhrt Torres wie eine Angel Olsen in Höchstform und teilt ihre Emotionen in jedem Moment ohne etwas zurückzuhalten, im Geegenteil, man fühlt sich einbezogen und als Teil des Ganzen.

Eine starke Frau, die kein Problem damit hat, einmal alles von sich abfallen zu lassen und quasi musikalisch nackt vor uns steht. Und das ist, gelinde gesagt, oberprima.

Rock, Indie-Punk-Glamour, man findet, was immer das Herz begehrt und dazu macht das alles auch noch riesig Freude. Sie klingt groß, breit aufgestellt, frei, grenzenlos.

Der Titelsong Thirstier ist ein Rocksong par excellance und macht Bonnie Tyler alle Ehre um mal einen i diesem Zusammenhang sicher unerwarteten Namen ins Spiel zu bringen.

Kiss The Corners hängt am Ende gar noch einen Grace Jones -Rememberance dran, euphorisch stimmungsvolle Hooks vertreiben sich die Zeit in Abwechslung mit Gitarren im Großbandformat.

Vieles überrascht und dieses Album kommt ständig mit neu eroberten Klangterrains um die Ecke, ist ununterbrochen in Action und ein verbreitet ungezwungene Freude, Hoffnung und Selbstbewußtsein.

In voluminous elegance never neglects the closeness to your listeners, you feel in this emotional roller coaster ride all the time fully involved, integrated and so to speak standing in the front row.

Otherwise Torres roars like an Angel Olsen in top form and shares her emotions in every moment without holding anything back, on the contrary, you feel included and part of the whole. A strong woman who has no problem letting everything fall away from her for once and stands before us virtually naked musically. And that is, to say the least, oberprima.

Rock, indie-punk glamour, you’ll find whatever your heart desires and on top of that it’s all great fun. It sounds big, broad, free, limitless.
