Manchmal muss man einfach Vertrauen haben, auf das Geschehen, auf das, was unveränderlich ist, sei es Zeit oder Schicksal. Manchmal ist es gut, wenn man einfach tut, was einem der Tag so bringt, und das, was passiert einfach geschehen lässt. Manchmal kommen dann so Dinge heraus wie ein zufriedene(re)s Leben oder einfach Alben wie
Create Myself.
Die angeschmissene Gitarre, das Brummen der Saiten, die knackigen Drums und allen voran die Stimme, die mal an Julien Baker, mal an Soak zu erinnern vermag.
Klar und direkt und ohne großartig aufwendige Ensembles wird hier in schnuckeligen Low-Pop-Songs klar gemacht, was gesagt werden soll.
Es geht um die Komplexität junger Liebe, um den täglichen Struggle mit Parties, zu vielen Getränken, zu vielen Drogen, zu vielen Dingen, die das Leben dann letzten Endes doch eher negativ beeinflussen.
Auch wenn die Songs happy und believe me und crying betitelt sind, es geht nicht depressiv zu, nicht bekifft oder benebelt. Es geht um das, was man ist, was man sein kann und möchte, wozu man (whatever) bestimmt ist.

Hier kommen Songs, die einfach aus dem Leben von Roz Raskin gegriffen sind, die sie uns hier präsentieren, so fein und schnuckelig, dass man sie einfach gut finden und gern haben muss.
Songs über uns in dieser Welt, die wir mit ein paar Kleinigkeiten schon verändern, verbessern, vereinfachen und vor allem, gerechter machen können.
Musik machen kann heilsam sein, nicht nur Spaß bereiten.

who manages to pass on the atmosphere directly to us with their songs as they were recorded.
Sometimes you just have to have faith in what’s happening, in what’s unchangeable, be it time or fate. Sometimes it’s good to just do what the day brings you and let what happens happen. Sometimes things come out like a contented life or simply albums like
Create Myself.
The guitar, the humming of the strings, the crisp drums and above all the voice, which sometimes reminds of Julien Baker, sometimes of Soak.
Clear and direct, and without any great elaborate ensembles, it is made clear here in dinky low-pop songs what is to be said.
It’s about the complexity of young love, about the daily struggle with parties, too many drinks, too many drugs, too many things that ultimately affect life rather negatively.
Even though the songs are titled happy and believe me and crying, it’s not depressive, not stoned or woozy. It’s about what you are, what you can and want to be, what you (whatever) are meant to be.
